dunkie Genuine heartfelt songs, lyrically written to perfection with melodies reminiscent of PJ Harvey. Full of angst but tinged with affection and concern for the human race too. I love the stripped back nature of the recordings and how then an addition instrument comes into play and changes the dynamics ever so subtly (be it a Bass, a Cello or an under scored synth/organ). I love the album 'Hips and Makers' by Kristin Hersh and is a perfect companion piece to Hersh works x Favorite track: This Wonderful Life.

I’m really excited to be releasing this my debut solo EP. I’ve had the title “Be More Human” floating in my head for a long time, a statement aimed at both myself and the outside world!
Having had a break from making music for some considerable time it’s great to release these four tracks that have arisen from a rekindled passion for life and music, hope you enjoy them xx

The tracks are mostly stripped back as I play them live but with the added special ingredient of Kev Sorsby’s bass and synth skills.

I also want to say a huge thanks to my friends and fellow musicians in the local music scene, you know who you are! The support and encouragement from our musical community has been so important especially during these strange times! Peace and love xx
